Counselling for Young People (14+)

A space to talk openly, make sense of your feelings and build confidence in who you are.
Growing up can be challenging. You might be experiencing anxiety, low confidence, friendship or relationship difficulties, bullying, exam pressure or feeling overwhelmed by expectations. Sometimes it's difficult to explain how you're feeling, particularly to the people closest to you.
I work with young people aged 14 and over, helping them navigate the emotional, social and personal challenges of adolescence and early adulthood. This can include difficulties at school or university, family relationships, self-esteem, neurodiversity, identity and finding your place in the world.
How I work with young people
During my counselling training, I worked as a counsellor in a school, supporting adolescent boys with a range of emotional and personal difficulties. This gave me valuable experience of the pressures young people face and the importance of having someone outside their family or school environment to talk to.
My approach is inclusive, collaborative and trauma-informed. I recognise that every young person's experience is different and that building trust takes time. I aim to create a space where you can speak freely, without pressure to have all the answers or worry about being judged.
Together, we can explore what's happening in your life, understand difficult feelings, develop confidence and find ways of managing challenges and relationships that work for you.
For parents, I understand how difficult it can be to see your child struggling. Counselling offers them an independent, confidential space to explore their experiences, while respecting their growing independence and individuality.
