Men’s Mental Health

For many men, there's an expectation to be strong, capable and in control. To manage responsibilities, solve problems and keep going, even when things aren't okay underneath.

You may be experiencing pressure at work, difficulties in your relationships, anxiety, anger, loneliness or a growing sense of disconnection from yourself and the people around you. Perhaps you're struggling with a separation, questioning your identity or finding that the ways you've always coped are no longer working.

Men can become familiar with keeping difficult feelings to themselves. We learn to get on with things, stay busy, withdraw or find other ways to manage what we're experiencing. These approaches may have helped us through difficult times, but they can also leave us feeling isolated, misunderstood or unable to express what we really need.

I have a particular interest in men's mental health

Together, we can explore the pressures you're facing, the experiences that have shaped you and how these may influence the way you see yourself, manage emotions and relate to others.

Counselling isn't about suggesting that you need to change who you are. It's an opportunity to understand yourself more clearly, develop different ways of responding to life's challenges and build more meaningful connections with yourself and others.

You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what's wrong or what you want to change. We can work that out together.
