Counselling for Professionals

A space to step back from the pressures of work, understand yourself better and find a way forward.

Professional life can be demanding. You may be experiencing stress, anxiety, burnout or struggling to balance the expectations of work with your personal life. Perhaps you're questioning your career direction, dealing with difficult workplace relationships or finding that success and achievement no longer bring the satisfaction they once did.

I work with professionals experiencing a wide range of challenges, including imposter syndrome, perfectionism, low confidence, workplace conflict, leadership pressures and career transitions. Sometimes the ways of thinking and behaving that have helped us succeed professionally can also make it difficult to switch off, ask for help or feel good enough.

How I work with professionals

Alongside my counselling work, I spent over 20 years in senior HR and leadership roles within global financial services. I understand first-hand the pressures of demanding corporate environments, the expectations placed on people and the challenges of balancing professional responsibilities with life outside work.

This experience informs my counselling, giving me an understanding of workplace dynamics, organisational change and the pressures that can accompany ambition and responsibility.

Our work might involve exploring the impact of stress and burnout, understanding patterns such as perfectionism or self-criticism, navigating difficult relationships or considering how work has shaped your sense of self-worth.

Together, we can explore what's happening beneath the surface, develop a clearer understanding of your needs and priorities, and find ways to make changes that feel right for you, both at work and beyond.
